Product Overview
Dehumidifiers operate by gently heating to a surface temperature of 100-120°F, creating a natural convection cycle that continuously circulates warm, dry air throughout your safe. This 24/7 air circulation gradually raises the internal temperature by several degrees above the surrounding environment.
As the heated air expands, it pushes moisture-laden air out through small cracks around the safe door, ensuring that only dry, protective air remains inside. This process helps prevent rust, corrosion, and humidity damage, keeping your firearms, documents, and valuables in optimal condition for long-term storage.
It is best utilized when mounting horizontally at the bottom of the safe to work effectively. The safe dehumidifier rod can be mounted against a wall as well.
Lowering the humidity is a slow process. If you do not see the reduction of humidity after a couple of weeks then you may want to consider a longer unit or our PEET dehumidifier.
